Excellent news!
Last month I told you about Matt’s parents getting royally screwed over by their asshole of an attorney. Remember?
A couple days ago they called with good news - it sounds like they’re going to be able to appeal it!
Now, I have to admit that when they read the letter to us, it made no sense. Way too much legal stuff and we’re not quite sure exactly what the letter said, but it was good whatever it was.
They called their new attorney to get the paperwork in motion because they only have ten days to submit everything. Their attorney, who is also a partner at the firm, said that he may want them to come in over the weekend to meet the owner of the law firm. Hopefully we hear good news soon!
This turned out to be much longer than I expected it to be. I just wanted to say what the fuck are some people thinking? Do yourself and your relationship a favor and don’t hide money from your spouse. They’ll probably eventually find it and then your life will be a mess - your ex will marry a close relative (which is apparently allowed in Oklahoma?) and your ren will live pretty screwed up lives for several years.
